Sleep and sports performance
Sleep can affect sports performance in many ways. For long distance sailors it may mean falling asleep at a crucial moment and losing the race (or the boat!) - for others it can be the hundredth of a millisecond difference between winning and losing, scoring or missing. It affects burnout, rehabilitation, doping, etc. Yet, its importance is undervalued by some. Intertwining daily living with training and performance also creates its own problems. ... hence this meeting.
